A truly confidential PDF compressor
Contracts, invoices, pay stubs, medical records: PDFs often contain sensitive information. Unlike most online compressors, Kodiax Compress PDF processes your files 100% locally, using your browser's own capabilities. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored: your documents never leave your computer.
Two compression modes
- Maximum compression: each page is turned into a compressed image. The size often drops dramatically (60 to 90%), which is ideal for scanned documents or for getting under email attachment limits. The trade-off: the text can no longer be selected.
- Lossless: the file's internal structure is optimized without touching the content. The text stays selectable and the quality intact, for a more modest gain.
Either way, the “keep the original if it's smaller” option makes sure you never end up with a heavier file than the one you started with.
